06/14/16 IF YOU ARE SAVED, YOU ARE NOT STILL A SINNER

One of the lies that believers have been fed by Satan, is that Christians are just sinners saved by grace.

NO.

Christians are humans who were sinners (rebels against God), who are now saved from sinning, by grace. The New Testament refers to believers as saints, not sinners. (When Paul referred to himself as "chief of sinners," he was acknowledging that Christ came into the world to save sinners, OF WHOM I AM CHIEF." In other words, he was chief of those who had been sinners and had been saved. He was not claiming to be chief of sinners since becoming a Christian. Such a thought is blasphemous, but popular).

If a person is a sinner, a rebel against God, then he/she is not a Christian. God does not simply forgive the sinner of his sins, God transforms the person into a saint, a holy person, a new creation, a child of God, a worker of righteousness. The grace of God does not only change our label, it changes our entire being, Salvation is not simply salvation from judgment, but salvation from sin; the penalty of sin, the pollution of sin and the power of sin.

Being saved, delivered, born again, does not make a believer proud or self righteous and judgmental. Therefore there is a difference in being a sinner and being a child of God. Christians do not have to love either the sinning community (whichever community of sin it happens to be) or the sins of the sinners. As Paul recollected that he had been saved from sin, so we recognize that we were saved by God's grace. God has put His approval on us for Christ sake, He has not put His approval on our sins or the community of corruption.

People don't like all of the drama that goes with Christian honesty. Give me a break. The world is filled with drama and tragedy. Only honest confrontation will bring sanity to the insanity of sin. Too bad there are so many (even those who claim to be Christian) putting their approval on Satan's koolaid and only a few who sound the warning and offer the antidote.
