08/10/16 MINISTRY SITES IN CARTERET COUNTY

I thought you folks in Carteret County might find this interesting. I posted it to my FB ministry page. I really want to reach more folks in our area with the message of victorious living through Jesus. This gives a little of my Carteret County roots. If you know someone who needs a Biblical relationship with God, share this post with them. Thanks, David.

Our world needs to hear the message of God's complete deliverance from sin, and it needs to see a people who are completely delivered from sin. Our world (my homeland of Carteret County) has very few preachers or churches who are meeting this need. The NET HOUSE wants to serve in this capacity. As a native and as a Bible preacher I have a great concern for this wonderful area. I was born in Morehead, and though I lived in Miami and Los Angeles as a child, I attended Jr. Hi and graduated from Hi School in Morehead. The blue "x" marks on the map shows some of my historical ties with the beautiful and wonderful area.

From the west to the east.

X I lived in Stella while pastor of the Midway-Bethlehem UMC charge.

X I was pastor in Bogue and have ancestors from Bogue.

X My Gould ancestors from Scotland settled in Broad Creek.

X Gould ancestors moved to Newport, where I have family today (Gould, Mason, Garner).

X Guthrie ancestors lived in Salter Path that moved from Shackleford Banks (which had originated in Scotland).

X I have lived and been pastor in Atlantic Beach.

X I was born, have lived in several different location, graduated, worked secular jobs and pastored a church, and I have ancestors from and family in Morehead.

X I now live in Beaufort, have family and ancestors from Beaufort and I now minister through our new work, The NET HOUSE ministry.

X My Willis and my Guthrie family that lived on Shackelford Banks (Diamond City) moved to other surrounding areas, including Harkers Island, Williston, Marshallberg, other down east communities, Morehead City (Promiseland), and Salter Path (Rice Path).

X During my teenage years I was the Sub-district President of the Methodist Youth Fellowship, which reached from Swansboro to Cedar Island. I often visited the MYF groups throughout the county.

X As a pastor on Hatteras Island, I took a youth group on a camping trip to Portsmouth Island.

I tell you this because I want you to understand that I love the area, and love the people of Carteret County and want to offer the whole gospel for the whole man, to the whole area.
