07/23/16 OUR RESPONSIBILITY

If you do not like toe stomping, Bible based, God appointed pastoral preaching and leadership, then don't read this article.
If you care more about protecting your image and having things your way than you do about pleasing God and rescuing children, you need this article, but you will probably reject these truths.

The message in my recent FB LIVE is vital for the survival of individuals, families, churches, communities, societies and nations. We know that nations will not survive, because they choose rebellion instead of surrender to God (Ps. 2) It appears that the day of societies, communities and churches surviving are also coming to a close (Re. 3:20). As we see in Bible history, families do not survive Divine judgment on sin. Consider Adam's family after the expulsion from the Garden; Lot's family in and after the days of Sodom and Gomorrah; and Noah's family after the flood.

It comes down to individuals, who in turn have an influence on their families. The probabilities of family members making right choices increases greatly when there is a strong believer (especially at the helm), but each person must make his own choice. Regardless of what others do, individuals must be determined to follow Jesus fully.

IT IS VITAL for us to influence the children, through teaching, leading, training, modeling, while they are young. It is easier to reach the tender heart of a child than the calloused and cynical mind of an adult. An early start in trusting and following Christ saves children from sin, and strengthens them for spiritual combat as adults.

The children need to see us TOTALLY COMMITTED TO BIBLICAL CHRISTIANITY, and not playing the, "MY WAY" game.

Over the years we have all seen too many young people make commitments to Christ, only to turn back to the world as they got older. HOWEVER, I praise the Lord, because I have also seen most of the children in our churches remain faithful through their teenage years and into young adulthood. Statistically, this is a rare reality. The fire of God's truth and God's indwelling Spirit in local churches and parents makes a great difference.

BEWARE

Jesus spoke harshly about those adults who offend children by robbing them of spiritual leadership. We cannot give our children the crumbs of truth and the shadow of Christianity without incurring the wrath of God.

Matthew 18:6-11
(6) But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
(7) Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!
(8) Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire.
(9) And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.
(10) Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
(11) For the Son of man is come to save that which was lost.
