07/22/16 WE NEED HIM EVERY MOMENT
(7) For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
(8) For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord's.
(9) For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.
Life is not static, it is dynamic, it is always changing. And we are going to change also, whether we like change or not, and whether or not we want to change. Some of our changes will be involuntary, and some will be volitional. We cannot decide what our world will do and we cannot even decide another person's actions, attitudes or associations, but we do decide how we are going to deal with the changes we face.
Change is best made with the head and heart. Good decisions are made with knowledge, understanding, wisdom, along with love, courage, faith, truth, humility. Remember, choices have consequences, therefore we need to make RIGHT CHOICES if we want RIGHT CONSEQUENCES.
THIS IS WHERE GOD COMES INTO THE PICTURE
God knows everything, about everything, all of the time, and He is willing to share pertinent information with those who look to Him for guidance (through His word, His Spirit, His called ones).
God also provides the spiritual, moral components for right decision making. As Christians we live by HOPE, FAITH and LOVE.
Hope SEES the unseeable. Hope is seeing with God's eyes.
Faith SECURES the unseeable. Faith is trusting God to lead and work in our lives.
Love SHOWS the unseeable. God showed Himself when Christ came to live, die, rise again. We show God in our lives when we love others.
The song says, Take Time To Be Holy, which is great counsel, since it takes time to be with God, to hear God, to follow God.
