07/11/16 WHAT'S THE PROBLEM

07/11/16 WHAT'S THE PROBLEM
The first person makes innocent and/or careless remarks, with no intention to hurt or offend or insult the second person.

The second person is insulted and offended and angry with the person who made the remarks.

Why not...
Talk it over with pastor,
Talk it over with other Christians.

Hey, why not see what God has to say about it in the Bible?
What should be the response of the second person?
What is the Christian response?
What should be the Christian response if another person intentionally says things that are hurtful, offensive, and insulting?

Keep in mind, it is not enough to DO THE CHRISTIAN THING, but rather we must actually BE CHRISTIAN (be miraculously transformed by saving grace and conformed to the image of Jesus by the indwelling presence and power of the Holy Spirit).

THIS WOULD OVERCOME MOST OF THE PROBLEMS

Proverbs 15:1-5
(1) A soft answer turns away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
(2) The tongue of the wise uses knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools pours out foolishness.
(3) The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.
(4) A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
(5) A fool despises his father's instruction: but he that regards reproof is prudent.

Notice, these verses are not simply "stand alone" or "disconnected" from one another. In fact, it is a single thought with many facets.
