I know that my message of Christ's Lordship and New Testament Christianity is not popular and will actually become more despised (even by the "church world") as we move further into the Laodicean period (the last period of the Church Age, before the return of Christ).
A few areas in my teaching that will be especially repulsive to modern and westernized church people are...
#1 Holiness of heart and life. God can, God will, God insists on making His people pure, even as Christ is pure, so that we may love with the same perfect love that God the Father has for us. Those that are truly born of God do not commit sin and those who are totally dedicated have been delivered from the sin nature (old man, carnal mind, law of sin and death).
#2 The Lordship of Christ, which demands our highest loyalty and commitment. This submission overshadows every other authority in our lives. It is better to obey God than men.
#3 Unyielding faith in His word. Not moved by the empty cries of academia, the vicious threats of the State, the oppression and attacks of Liberal and Humanistic society.
#4 The Peacemaking, non-violent position of New Testament followers of Christ. We must not take the sword of steel, which God has given to the State (a totally separate entity from The Church), but we must take the Sword of the Spirit and we must be ready to have our won blood spilled, while refusing to spill the blood of our enemies. Christians are expected to support the State in protecting the righteous and punishing the wicked, but must personally hold fast to their higher calling of being Ambassadors of God, reconciling the lost to Christ.
#5 Maintaining not only the differences (distinctions) in male and female genders, but recognizing the proper place and responsibility of male authority in the home and in the church. This includes male's submitting to the rule of God by loving and leading in humility.
There are other issues, but these jump out, as controversial, even today.
