Newness of life does not begin until the NEW BIRTH. The old life does not end until the DEATH OF THE OLD MAN. This is why so many Christians struggle for so long with an inner battle, the battle of Romans 7. Though they have been born again, and therefore have spiritual life, they have not died to the world, the flesh and the devil, because their OLD MAN (carnal mind, sinful nature) has never been crucified with Christ. Sadly, this battle often ends in the victory of the flesh, which will either lead to a life cycle of rebellion and repentance, or it will lead to a life of rebellion, ending in reprobation.
Does your church, does your pastor teach the whole truth about the full salvation of God?
God not only saves us from the penalty of sin, but from the pollution of sin and the power of sin.
God not only forgives our sins, He cleanses our hearts from ALL SIN.
We can not only put on the NEW MAN, but we can put off the OLD MAN.
This life of holiness is not extra, it is essential salvation. Without holiness of heart and life, NO MAN SHALL SEE THE LORD. If your church, if your pastor does not preach and teach the truth of holiness, you need to find a preacher who not only teaches it, but lives it.
If you, as a believer, cannot imagine attending a church that does not teach and preach the NEW BIRTH through repentance, then you know how I feel when I hear about a preacher who does not teach and preach HEART PURITY, through death to self.
Don't play with your soul. Attend a church that teaches and preaches the whole counsel of God. Otherwise, suffer defeat and loss.
