THE HARD WAYAs a young person, I did not have Christian parents or a Bible preaching pastor, or the influence of believers in my pre-teen years and very little spiritual modeling in my teen-age years, I had to make choices that cut across the grain of my home and training and church (and, sadly, sometimes I failed God). However, my commitment was to Christ and not to unsaved loved ones or self absorption. I made hard choices that flew in the face of unsaved parents. I chose a road in life that caused the people in my home church to ask our pastor if I needed psychological counseling, because I was not normal and I was fanatical.
MY POINT???
God has an investment in the children, and He cares about their eternal soul, and wants them to follow Him, regardless of what anyone else does, even if it is mom and dad. Therefore, it is wise to raise children in the most Biblical, spiritual environment that we can. We must teach them to make hard choices. We must let them choose strong spiritual, Biblical leadership. We must not teach them to treat the ministry and message of God as if it is a smorgasbord. They must be taught to yield to authority, respect ministry, humble themselves. They must not be thin skinned or self oriented. They must be taught to reject the, "MY WAY" mentality.
Don't wait another second. Too much time has been wasted. We can only lead the way, if we heed The Way. Children should see humility, self denial and loving faith in our lives. We should be able to say to them, "walk in my steps," and "do as I do."
Finally, this is important because Satan is totally dedicated to destroying the children, and rebellion and resistance is modeled and preached to the children every day.
WE MUST BE FAITHFUL TO OUR MISSION.
