07/31/16 HELP FOR A TROUBLED WORLD
YES, our world is in trouble.
YES, our country is in trouble.
YES, only God can actually save, rescue, deliver us from self destruction.
NO, He won't save, rescue or deliver anyone who does not turn from sin and turn to Him, through obedient faith in Jesus Christ and His word.
It does no good to hope in Divine intervention as long as we choose not to trust and follow Jesus.
God will not save the whole world (or even our little corner of the world) simply because anyone makes a choice to receive Christ, repent (turn from) their sins, confess their sins and confess faith in Christ, and also follow Jesus in their daily walk. BUT, He will save anyone who comes to Him, calls on Him, believes on Him and follows Him.
It is not about saving the world, it is about personal salvation through faith in, and submission to the Lord Jesus Christ.
YES, our personal faith and commitment (or lack of it) will impact the lives of other people, for either good or ill. BUT we are in need of salvation and we are in need of a living relationship with Christ. THEREFORE, whatever anyone else may do, we must decide that we will trust and obey Christ
