06/09/16 FROM FAULTS TO FAITH

06/09/16 FROM FAULTS TO FAITH

I asked the Bible study group last night if it is possible to find fault in people. The young people readily agreed that we could.

I asked if it is possible to find fault in me. Being the loving grandchildren that they are, they said, "No."

I quickly pointed out that it is not difficult to find fault with me. They were shocked at my statement. I restated my position. One of them actually asked how that could be.

I explained that we all have faults (not to be confused with sins, by the way). We all have weaknesses, we all need to grow, to improve, to change, to learn.

This is one of the reasons we come to The NET HOUSE.

First, we come to worship and praise God, for great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. We should come to Praise and Preaching time with our bags, buckets, baskets full of praise, thanksgiving, worship, love for God.

Second,
we come to fellowship, to learn, to grow, to improve our lives and our service to God. We should come with the expectation that God is going to fill us with light, wisdom, love, power, knowledge.

Being in the presence of God is a give and take situation. We give Him praise and we take His generous offer of grace.
