(5/9/16) TNH GOD'S EXALTED PLAN FOR MOTHERS

(5/9/16) TNH
GOD'S EXALTED PLAN FOR MOTHERS

(from Sunday's message)

God is not only
1) the Creator, the First Cause, the Fountainhead of Life,
He is also
2) the Author of New Beginnings.

God chose to use a woman in these two great historical events.

1) After God created man and the animals, He created/made woman from the side of Adam, to be Adam's mate, his helpmeet.
Genesis 2:20-24
(20) And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him.
(21) And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
(22) And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
(23) And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
(24) Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Notice that Adam called her woman, a she-man taken from the side of Adam, fit to be his mate, his wife, his life partner.

2) After the woman was deceived, and after Adam's disobedience, and after God promised to provide a deliverer through the Seed of the woman, then Adam called the woman, "Eve," or the mother of life. How amazing is the promise and provision of redemption of God through woman.
Genesis 3:14-20
(14) And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
(15) And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
(16) Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
(17) And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
(18) Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;
(19) In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
(20) And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Eve was the mother of all living people, but it was Mary who would be the mother of Jesus (He Who is the resurrection and the LIFE; Jesus, the One Who is the Way, the Truth and the LIFE).

In creation and in redemption, God gave woman a high and holy status. Along with man, the husband, the father, God has given the responsibility of loving and providing children with a godly heritage and upbringing. God also requires children to honor and obey their parents.

Mother's Day is a good time for a new beginning in family relationships. Parents must dedicate themselves to godliness and love, and sacrifice, while children must dedicate themselves to love, honor and obedience to their parents.

Christian mothers, especially, are self sacrificing and diligent in providing for their children. They gave life to their children and they sustain the lives of their children, because of love. Obedience to mom should be first time, every time she speaks. Honoring mom and dad is a lifelong reality for a believer.

This kind of relationship in the home will make Mother's Day, everyday.
