(4/19/16) I'M BAAAACK

(4/19/16)
I'M BAAAACK

Wow, I was so moved, to think that they would form a welcoming committee for me. But there they were, four Mormon Elders (young men, doing their 2 year "missionary" service for their religion), walking right towards me. (ok, it was not a welcoming committee, but it did make me, "feel at home."

When I lived in this area, over thirty years ago, I use to engage LDS Elders (youngsters) in conversation, wherever I encountered them, on my doorstep, at the store, on the street. I would ask them questions that they would not, and could not answer. In fact, they found that visiting my house and the house of my parishioners was unsettling to their canned speech and were advised by leadership to avoid our addresses.

Anyway, "back at the ranch," (actually the parking lot of a grocery store in Beaufort).
I approached the typically uniformed group of "LDS" (another misnomer) workers.
I asked them if they were with the LDS and then told them I had a question for them.
Of course they lit up with anticipation.

I mentioned that there are two main groups of LDS, the Salt Lake City group, which is the largest Mormon group, and the Reorganized LDS.
They lost their happy face for a moment.
I asked them what changes the other group had made and why the RCJCLDS had made the changes.
They all regained their smug, but quizzical, look.
It was as if they had no idea what changes they had made.
One of the four even said, "Who knows?"
This is Mormon response: plead ignorance or lie.

But, at least they now had an opportunity to enlighten this poor old man, who was roaming the parking lot. So, I asked them the best question, up to the moment.

I asked them if their group, the LDS, "...believes that God the Father had a father."
I wish I had a picture of the four of them. Deer in the headlights, caught with their hooves in the cookie jar. With mouths agape, they were frozen in time.
Finally they tried to explain that everyone comes from someone and that we don't really know where God the Father came from.
Yes, this is Mormon deception, because they know that their doctrine is anti-Biblical.
So, I said, "Oh, the LDS does not believe that God the Father had a father?"
Again with the open mouthed silence.

After I repeated my question several times, and being informed that we don't know where God came from (contrary to the teachings of LDS), I told them that the Bible says that before God there was no god and after Him there shall be no god, that He is the ONLY GOD, therefore we do know that God the Father had no father and we know that there is only one God.
ISAIAH 43:10-11
(10) Ye are my witnesses, saith Jehovah, and my servant whom I have chosen; that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
(11) I, even I, am Jehovah; and besides me there is no saviour.
DEUTERONOMY 6:4
(4) Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Trying to avoid the problem, they confidently pointed out that we would agree that humans are eternal beings.
I SAID NO. Humans can have eternal life, but humans are not eternal, that is, humans have a beginning, but being eternal means having no beginning or ending.
I said that all of us had a beginning, except God, and He has always existed.

They asked where humans came from.
I said God created Adam and Eve and enabled them to procreate, thus producing other human beings, and these human beings were not preexisting. We all had a beginning, unlike God, who has no beginning, because He is eternal and we only have eternal life, if we have saving faith in Christ,
I went on to say that we came from Adam, but Adam messed this world up when he sinned.
The four horseless riders reacted quickly, and said that Adam did not corrupt the human race.
They said that since God knows the future, He knew that Adam would sin, therefore Adam's sin was part of God's plan.
Yes, this is Mormon theology. They blame God for sin.
It was at this point one of the four said that we all have the ability to become gods, just like God became a god,
YES, HE DID SAY IT. Another false doctrine from the LDS.

Of course I refuted such a gross lie. Just because God knows the future does not make Him complicit with evil behavior. One of the greatest gifts God gave to humans is self determination, free will. However, free will is free only if man has the choice to disobey God. Adam and all of Adam's children have chosen to sin.

However, back to the preexistence of humans.
I pointed out that Jesus was preexistent and He, along with the Father and the Holy Spirit, created the universe.
I pointed out that the declaration of His preexistence was considered blasphemy by those who knew the Old Testament, because, only God can be eternal.
Jesus did claim to be preexistent and He did claim to be God, because He is God.
No one else can make this clam. Only Jesus (the Son of God/God the Son) and the Father and the Holy Spirit are eternal persons, yet the One True God.

I continued to underscore the Biblical position that God the Father did not have a father, contrary to Mormon theology.

They told me to pray about it.
I told them I do not have to pray about it, since I have a book that explains it.
They looked at me with curiosity.
I told them that the Bible clearly states that there was no God before God and there will be no god after God.

They invited me to come to their meeting and learn what they believe.
I STOOD THERE, STARING AT THEM AND FINALLY SAID, "Do you really think that I don't know what you believe?"

They gave me a card that would get me a free "Book of Mormon."
I told them that I already have the Book of Mormon.

I told them that they needed to believe God and the Bible.
I told them that from this point on they would remember that the Bible says that God the Father does not have a father.

There was more, but that is enough for this post.

It is almost like time has stood still for thirty years. The Mormons are still peddling their lies in this area, and I am still telling them the truth.
