(4/10/16) WE ARE NOT HOME YET

(4/10/16)
WE ARE NOT HOME YET

We, who trust Christ and believe the Bible, must never forget, "we are not home yet."

No matter how blessed we are, no matter how nice some people are, no matter how "Christian," society seems to be, we are strangers in a foreign land.

We must not allow ourselves to "be at ease in Zion."
We are soldiers, not settlers.
We are strangers, not citizens.
We are ambassadors to this world, not advocates of this world.
We are fishers of men, not keepers of the aquarium.

Looking at this world and listening to this world leads us to liking and loving this world, and we are told not to love the world or the things in the world. We are told that those who love the world do not have the love of the Father in them.

Remember, just because something is pleasurable does not mean it is profitable, or preferable, or permissible.

Choose that which is better, choose that which is best. Choose life. Choose Christ.
