(4/25/16) CONVERSION IS NOT DISCIPLESHIP

(4/25/16)
CONVERSION IS NOT DISCIPLESHIP

Biblical Christianity is so rare today that it is nearly impossible to get people to recognize Biblical authority in the home or in the Church. As a result, Biblical standards, Biblical counsel, Biblical wisdom is lacking in personal lives, families and entire churches.

The answer to godless leadership is not leaderless godliness. I, as a pastor, have the ministry of leadership, like a shepherd. I am not led by my congregation, nor do I drive my congregation to market or to slaughter, nor do I lead them, either out of obligation to a job or desire for a position. The answer to godless leadership is not religious anarchy, where each one does what is right in his own eyes, or religious demagoguery. The answer is following Biblical revelation, leading in love, purity and wisdom, and living in love purity and wisdom.

Lives, families, churches do not get totally ensnared in confusion overnight. Neither are they delivered from years of confusion overnight. Conversion is the beginning, discipleship is the follow through. There are a lot of converts who have made shipwreck because they either did not have Biblical leadership/counsel available or because they refused to submit to Biblical leadership/counsel.
