EITHER, OR
Delight yourself (or not) in the Lord, and God will give you the desires of your heart.
THIS IS GREAT...
Psalms 37:4
(4) Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.
THIS IS SCARY...
Sometimes God actually allows people who delight themselves in sin, to have the things they desire.
JUST 'CAUSE YOU GET WHAT YOU WANT, does not mean that you are pleasing to God.
REMEMBER...
The pleasures of sin only last a short season, but the blessings of God are eternal. Blessings often come with suffering, but they bring eternal reward. Choose carefully.
Hebrews 11:25 (speaking of Moses)
(25) Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
