(2/12/16) THN BASIC MINISTRY OF THE NET HOUSE

(2/12 & 28/16) TWO ARTICLES (DLG & TNH)
Rather than post in a separate blog, I have included articles from my FB Page, The Net House, designated by the date and TNH. I put them in the same blog post because they were posted about the same time.

BASIC MINISTRY OF THE NET HOUSE
I posted the following on my FB one year ago. This post illustrates the basic ministry of The Net House. The Holy Bible is the revelation of God, by which we see and do the will of God.

POSTED BY PASTOR DAVID 3/12/15
Most of the people with a short left leg thought the picture was drooping to the right and most people with a short right leg thought the picture was drooping to the left. Only a few people trusted the picture hanger when he used a "level."

The answer to the human problem is not to be found by human wisdom, neither is the answer in man, himself. The answer is to be found in the "Level" that God provides (which is the Holy Bible).

SO SAYS GOD
1 Corinthians 1:19-31

(19) For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
(20) Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
(21) For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
(22) For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:
(23) But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;
(24) But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
(25) Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
(26) For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
(27) But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
(28) And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
(29) That no flesh should glory in his presence.
(30) But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
(31) That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

A COMMENT TODAY
It is not just our view of life, but our living of life, which should be aligned with God and His holy word.

There are plenty of churches that teach what the Bible says, and there are plenty of Christians that know what God requires. The Bible is often used to point out the failure and sin of other individuals and society at large. However, very few understand the power of God's word in their own personal lives, which will deliver them from their own inward corruption and empowers and enables them to live a life that is pleasing in God's sight.

The "level" of God is not just an external witness to the power, pollution and penalty of sin; the Holy Bible gives personal and internal deliverance from the pollution and power of sin, and enables us to live the way we should live.

Seeing the problems of life, seeing the problem of sin, is a first step toward successful Christian living, but being enlightened, led, sanctified, empowered, and enabled by the word of God to live godly in this present evil world is the goal.

1 Timothy 1:5
(5) Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:

FIND YOUR PLACE AND FILL IT
I encourage everyone to faithfully support* the ministry that feeds you the word of God and nurtures you in your spiritual life.

If you live in the Carteret County area, and you want/need to be taught and led in a dynamic Christian life and ministry, please stay in touch with The NET HOUSE as we take steps to establish this ministry in the very near future.

*To be honest, I did not even think of financial support when I wrote this post. It was only when I proof read it that I realized most people associate "support" with money, especially when it relates to ministries.

I was actually referring to faithful followship, encouragement and participation with your local church and pastor, which includes reading his writings and sharing with others and inviting them to be par of the adventure.

Yes, finances are important, but my focus has never been and will not be money. I figure if God has our heart, He has our treasure also.
