THE GREATEST SPIRITUAL WORK
(the focus of The Net House)
I was asked what was the greatest work of God I have ever seen.
Though I have seen bodies healed, demons cast out and other outward manifestations, the greatest work of God I have seen might not seem to be quite so dramatic or exciting, at least to some people.
Jesus told us not to rejoice that we have power over demons, but rather that our names are recorded in heaven (Lk. 10:20). The greatest work of God is the changing of lives. Authority over demons and power to heal bodies displays God's Sovereignty over His creation. But changing the human soul and conquering a free moral agent through the power of love is far more wonderful than changing the direction of a raging river.
God's greatest work is to change human lives, since He allows us the ability to resist His will. Even when Christ cleansed the the ten lepers, only one returned to give Him thanks. Also, Satan can do mighty works that astound people but he cannot save a soul or change a life for good.
The greatest work I have seen in the spirit realm is when God...
Changes a hateful heart to a loving heart;
Transforms the lustful mind into one that is pure;
Delivers a man from greed, deceit, envy, pride and self-reliance;
Restores a broken relationship;
Heals a broken or bitter heart after a betrayal or the loss of a loved one.
Great numbers of people have been physically healed by God's goodness, only to continue to live in sin; they have been delivered from demonic grip, and then returned to serve the Prince of Darkness. The greatest work of the Spirit is to transform a child of hell into a child of God, to cleanse us from all sin and perfect our hearts in holiness.
I have seen great worship services of praise, shouting, rolling, jumping and swooning and listened to people "give the word of the Lord" and then bicker, backbite and be-little others.
I have seen these "great saints minister under the anointing," then allow their children to "cut the fool" while the eternal Word of God was being preached.
I watched people gossip and call it “prayer request;” brag on themselves and call it “testimony;”
I have seen people shake, shout and shine like the sun, then lord it over their wives, oppress their children, disobey their husbands and bad mouth their parents.
The miracles of God are great, but His miracle of salvation from sin is His greatest miracle. Healing is coming; judgment is coming; a new world is coming, but Now is the Accepted Time, Today is the Day of Salvation (2 Co. 6:2). Repent and Believe (Mk. 1:15).
