06/20/16 REALLY IMPORTANT (though not very popular)

06/20/16 REALLY IMPORTANT (though not very popular)

We are all appalled at the insidious nature of physical maladies, such as anorexia, addictions, anxieties. They start as a seemingly harmless, and childish, "normalities." These destroyers of life often begin in childhood but the children move into a life of sorrow and tragedy. Something must be done early or the children may never find deliverance.

We should be totally alarmed at the insidious nature of sin, especially in children. Pride, suspicion, jealousy, anger, deceit all creep slowly from the shadows of the carnal man to brazen, shameless displays, which refuse to yield to counsel, reproof, correction and training in righteousness. Carnality follows the path of least resistance and chooses other carnal models to follow. Those attitudes are little foxes that mutate into ravenous beasts.

In order to save children from the tyranny of rebellion, they must be confronted, corrected, and and trained in righteousness. Little sins grow up to be giant sins. Sin must not be excused or coddled. Sin must be destroyed.

WE MUST NOT DESTROY THE CHILDREN, either by attacking them because of their sins or encouraging them to cultivate their sins (as if they are indications of maturing or self expression or independence).
