Here is a great, but neglected truth in modern Christianity.
To oppose, reject, neglect Biblical churchman-ship is to deny the revelation of God. We cannot violate the marriage bond without violating the Divine institution and God Himself. LIKEWISE, we cannot violate the authority and order of the church (as given in the Bible) without violating the authority of God.
Families, churches, communities and societies would be blessed if Biblical authority was restored in the family and in the church. But it not only requires trusting followship and submission, it requires loving leadership and service from God's appointed leaders.
Resistance and rebellion in the home and church fosters disaster and dissension in all of life. The beauty of a loving family and church is lost when each one does what is right in his own eyes.
We have seen the breakdown in our society, hopefully there will be some who take the steps of humility toward reconciliation. It ain't easy, but the tragedy of the alternative is eternally wrong.
It is possible, because God is the God of new beginnings and He is the God of reconciliation.
