11/11/16 JAIL, MAYBE; SIN and HELL, NO.
Getting saved and following Jesus (there is no salvation without following Jesus), may not keep a person out of jail. In fact, it could be the reason a person goes to jail (check out the multitudes around the world who are persecuted for their Bible faith in Christ).
Getting saved and following Jesus will keep you out of hell.
Getting saved and following Jesus will keep you out of sin.
No one has ever followed Jesus into sin or into hell.
Going into sin and going to hell is a personal choice, not a Divine mandate.
Joshua 24:15
(15) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.
Matthew 16:24-26
(24) Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
(25) For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
(26) For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
