12/15/16 PRINCIPLES OF DECEPTION

12/15/16 PRINCIPLES OF DECEPTION

Here is what I have seen through the years, when people try to prove that Biblical truth is not Biblical truth.

For instance, when I say that Jesus died to save everyone,

* SINNING RELIGION will give a long list of verses which address various issues, but they never quote a verse that says, THAT ACTUALLY SAYS, JESUS DID NOT DIE FOR EVERYONE.

* They will explain why the verses I quote (which actually do say that Christ died for the whole world) they will explain how those verses do not mean what they say.

* They will quote verses that do not say that Christ died for everyone, yet boldly assert that they do say such a thing.

* They will bring in a string of "authorities" that never really address the passage, but rather will explain away the passage, based on their theology.

The cults do the same thing.
* They will avoid and contradict Biblical assertions by citing their own authorities rather than letting the Bible speak for itself.

* In some cases the violators of Scripture will point to the vast numbers of people who subscribe to their doctrine, supposedly establishing it as truth.

If the meaning of Scripture is determined by worldly wisdom or academic accomplishment or popular acceptance, then ANY major group can claim authority.

But the authority of Scripture and the meaning of Scripture is not for private interpretation.

* God said what He meant and He meant what He said.

* God's word is true, from A to Zed.

* Let God be true and every man a liar.

* Let God say what He wants to say, in the way He wants to say it and explain it however He wants to explain it.

* Don't be led astray by Satan's lies.

AND NOTICE, whatever God said should lead us to a life of holiness.

The fruit of truth is righteousness and the result of deceit is sin.

If a teaching leads to sin or opens the way to sin or makes sinning less abhorrent and damning, then it is a lie.

If a teaching is God's truth, it will lead to purity of heart and life.

Ephesians 4:13-16
(13) Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
(14) That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
(15) But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
(16) From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

1 Timothy 1:3-5
(3) As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
(4) Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
(5) Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
