PROVIDING FOR THE CHILDREN

PROVIDING FOR THE CHILDREN
Sometimes y'all see or hear me say that I write and do videos for the benefit of my grandchildren. It may sound like I think I am the only pastor who understands the Bible or can teach them the Christian faith.

Well, no, I don't think I am the only one,
BUT I HAVE been around enough to know that it is rare to find preachers who believe in...
* The inspired and infallible word of God,
* The teaching and preaching of heart purity,
* Christian non-violence (not to be confused with pacifism),
* Biblical order of home and church,
* The fact that homosexuality is sinful.

AND it is going to be even rarer to find faithful preachers in the days ahead.
THEREFORE I am trying to leave them a legacy, in the lives of my parishioners, including their parents, and in some form, whether written or video, which will teach them the things they are not ready or able to learn from me at this present time.
AFTER ALL, I am almost 69 years old and I don't have the promise of another breath. Then again, neither does anyone else.
IN FACT, I think it would be a great idea for those who understand these great truths to take steps to communicate them to future believers.

I have been part of 3 denominations (United Methodist, Evangelical Friends and The Wesleyan Church) that were built on the doctrine of heart holiness, and I have seen a turning from that precious truth in each of them. The UMC departed long ago, leaving only a very few faithful adherents. I have also heard the pastors of the most evangelical and Wesleyan, and Arminian and Peace churches boldly assert that they don't believe the founding doctrines of their denominations.

As a side note, if you find yourself in a church that is not teaching the truth about these basic doctrines, I suggest you find a pastor/church that does teach these truths. Your soul and the souls of your family are hanging in the balance.
