3/2/16 DON'T LET THE TIDES OF POLITICS MOVE YOU

DON'T LET THE TIDES OF POLITICS MOVE YOU

People have their own reasons for choosing a President. Sometimes different people choose different candidates for the same reasons. People with the same standards may vote for different people. I understand that. It is even reasonable that those people speak passionately against the same candidate. Christians may differ in their understanding about some things, but there is no room to differ concerning Biblical truths and qualities.

While most Christians realize that this is a vote for President and not a vote for Christians, Trump and the media have tried to make it a vote for a Christian. I believe some Christians are too protective of their political choices and they are confusing the political with the spiritual and Biblical. Even if we support a candidate for office, it does not mean that we should put our spiritual or Biblical or Christian approval on his/her life.

The media, at large, has presented Trump as a Christian and it has promoted the idea that the Evangelicals are supporting Trump. TRUMP is not a Christian. There are some people who are considered to be Evangelical (whatever that means in today's jargon, along with "Christian" and "Born Again" or "Bible Believing") leaders, who endorse Trump as a candidate, BUT THEY DO NOT DENOUNCE HIS ANTI-CHRISTIAN STANDARDS AND BELIEFS. This implies to other people that Evangelicals (Bible believing, Christ following people) consider Trump to be a Christian. This is a Satanic ploy to slander the Name of Christ and undermine the Christian witness.

Along with this, Christians have been led into the verbal attacks which are based in deceit and slander and malice. No one has a right to do these things, whether a Trump or an actual Christian, if there is one running. Certainly, we as the citizenry should not follow any politician into the mud pit.
