NOTHING NEW HERE
You can be religious without being a Bible believing, Christ following Christian, but you cannot be saved (be a Christian) unless you believe the Bible and follow Jesus. The unsaved do not understand this, and they attack Biblical Christianity and those who are saved. Nothing new here.

VICTORY IN CHRIST
VICTORY IN CHRIST
dlg...
If we don't surrender our will,
We are in rebellion still.
Matthew 5:48
(48) Be ye therefore perfect (in love), even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect (in love).
Mark 12:30
(30) And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
John 14:15
(15) If ye love me, keep my commandments.
John 14:21
(21) He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself unto him.
John 15:14
(14) Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
1 John 5:3
(3) For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
dlg...
Victory is not, that I will not to sin,
Victory is mine by Christ's Spirit within.
Galatians 2:20
(20) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
Colossians 1:27-29
(27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
(28) Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
(29) Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

BEWARE THE SELECTIVE FORGETTERY
BEWARE THE SELECTIVE FORGETTERY
Trump thinks the tears, the emotions of BHO were sincere, as BHO spoke against the Second Amendment.
Don't be deceived, BHO cannot be believed.
Don't Forget
* Don't forget how emotionally torn up he was when he voted to behead little American babies who were being born into this world.
* Don't forget his emotional upheaval when he voted and funded and forced others to participate and also pay for the murder millions of little boys and girls (some of which would have looked like him).
* Don't forget his emotional response (after so many American tragedies), which BHO displayed on the golf courses around the world, as he laughed and schmoozed with celebrities, while Black American moms and dads and wives and husbands and children grieved the loss of THOUSANDS of loved ones who died at the hands of boys who look like BHO, during his administration.
* Don't forget how BHO did not mourn for real American heroes killed by Islamic Terrorists (foreign and domestic), while he touted the heroism of an army deserter and entertained the parents in the Rose Garden of the White House, while he ignored the sacrifice and the families and funerals of the victims of TERRORIST atrocities.
* Don't forget his emotional tirades against American law enforcement and justice when he supported false narratives concerning so-called civil rights violations. He was obviously emotional when he sent Federal agents and political dignitaries to honor law breakers, while tongue lashing and investigating local police departments.
* Don't forget his emotional display when he falsely accused a film maker for the Benghazi attack, which killed American heroes. But, in the words of BHO's Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, "What difference does it make;" though she also knew the truth which she was hiding from Americans.
Don't forget, the list goes on.

1/5/16 ADDING REGRET TO INSULT TO INJURY
ADDING REGRET TO INSULT TO INJURY
*Messing up is bad enough.
*Messing up and suffering the consequences is worse.*But messing up and suffering the consequences AND knowing that you had the opportunity to not mess up to begin with, not only adds insult to injury, it adds regret to regret to regret.
We have all messed up, and we have all messed up our relationship with God. This brings us great regret.
BUT GOD, in His great love, with which He loved us, takes us to Himself because of the loving sacrifice that Jesus made for us on the cross, thus reconciling us to Himself and giving us victory over our sinfulness and our regrets.
But what happens when people do not believe on Christ, do not receive Christ into their lives, do not surrender to His Lordship?
* There will be more messing up (sin), and
* Eternal consequences (the wrath, punishment and vengeance of God) and
* The eternal realization that the wrong choice did not need to be made. The eternal nagging of regret upon regret upon regret, along with the eternal judgment of God.
This does not include the eternal suffering added because of the fact that the lost person actually led loved ones away from God, when they could have led them into a right relationship with God.
ON THE OTHER HAND, THIS IS WHAT AWAITS THOSE WHO TRUST AND FOLLOW JESUS.
Revelation 21:1-5 (LITV)
(1) And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and the sea no longer is.
(2) And I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, having been prepared as a bride, having been adorned for her Husband.
(3) And I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God with men! And He will tabernacle with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.
(4) And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. And death shall be no longer, nor mourning, nor outcry, nor will there be pain any more; for the first things passed away.
(5) And the One sitting on the throne said, Behold! I make all things new. And He says to me, Write, because these Words are faithful and true.

1/5/16 WARNING! SERIOUS WARNING.
WARNING! SERIOUS WARNING. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL OF "NEW AND BETTER," and, more "complete" and more "accurate." Neither should you fall for,"The Lost Books of the Bible" lie.
BEWARE THIS NEW FALSE CLAIM
There is a recent publication, which claims to be, "...the most complete and accurate English translation and transliteration of sacred Scripture in the world today."
The book is called the CEPHER.
I have not read it, but my response is based on the information and claims that are being made for it, by those who are responsible for it.
It cannot be more complete than the Holy Bible, with the 66 canonized books (books that meet the measure of Divine inspiration). God forbids anyone to add to His revelation.
YET, the cepher does have more books and more passages than the Holy Bible, or the Holy Scriptures of Christianity, because it has added non-inspired writings. Although it claims to be more accurate, it cannot be more accurate when it removes the light of the New Testament from the translations of the Old Testament. Transliteration does not necessarily make a translation more accurate. In fact, it can confuse the message.
THIS IS NOT NEW, since the Roman Catholic Bible and the King James 1611 also includes the Apocrypha. While some recognize extra-Biblical writings to have historical and cultural significance, those writings are not the revelation of God and should not be put in the same category as sacred Scripture.
I believe it is important to translate the Holy Bible accurately. I believe that the Holy Bible should be made available to each person in his own language. HOWEVER, we must not allow misdirected human scholarship or religious fervor to mislead us into accepting human writings as though they are Divinely inspired.

A CLOSE SHAVE
A CLOSE SHAVE
I really don't think very many Christians understand how pervasive the spirit of the age has infiltrated their minds, lives, families, morals and spiritual experience. It is this quiet, constant, appealing worldliness that has blinded believers and bound them, much as Samson was defeated by Delilah.
Judges 16:16-22 (LITV)
(16) And it happened, because she distressed him with her words all the days, and urged him; and his soul was grieved to death,
(17) that he told her all his heart, and said to her, No razor has come on my head, for I am a Nazarite to God from my mother's womb. If I were shaved, my strength would go away from me, and I would be weak, and be like any one of men.
(18) And Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart. And she sent and called for the Philistine rulers, saying, Come, for this time he has told me all his heart. And the Philistine rulers came up to her, and brought the silver in their hand.
(19) And she made him sleep on her knees, and called for a man, and had him shave seven braids of his head, and began to afflict him. And his strength departed from him.
(20) And she said, Samson, the Philistines are upon you! And He awakened from his sleep, and said, I will go out and shake myself free as time after time. But he did not know that Jehovah had departed from him.
(21) And the Philistines seized him, and bored out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza. And they bound him with bands of bronze. And he was grinding in the house of prisoners.
(22) But the hair of his head began to grow, for he had been shaved.
THE ALTERNATIVE
Romans 12:1-2
(1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
(2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

DEWEY DONE DONE US IN
DEWEY DONE DONE US IN
How sad that John Dewey's public school system has so "secularized" the minds of Americans that Socialism and even Communism have become viable options for political and governmental models.
How sad that the rejection of Christianity, through the promoting of Humanistic agenda of Liberalism has opened the door to the most rabid religion the world has ever known.

How sad that America is now in the grip of these two enemies of freedom and truth.
It is sad today, but the eternal tomorrow will vindicate the true and living God of the Holy Bible. Yes, the human struggle is a spiritual struggle between Light and darkness, Truth and deceit, Love and hatred, Good and evil. Those who reject the Bible and the God of the Bible (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) are aligning themselves with the political, moral, religious enemies of the cross.
Turn to Jesus.

He died to save us from our sins.
He rose physically from the dead.
He is returning to rule and reign.
This message is as old as the Bible and as current as tomorrow's headlines. It has not changed.

We are setting the standard of a right worldview and godly behavior for our children.
We need to make sure that we set the right course and that we keep to it.
We need to check our compass (the Holy Spirit) and our chart (the Holy Bible) to make sure of our course, every day, every moment.
First, start your voyage by setting your course by God's coordinates and God's plan.
Second, adjust your course along the way, by making changes when they are needed.
(Remember, the daily winds and currents, as well as the storms of life, tend to change our course, and spiritual pirates want to rob us of our treasure and scuttle our vessel).
Do not take your responsibility lightly.
Do not be settle for a voyage which started well.
Make whatever changes are necessary to help your children see the truth and follow it, because stormy seas of adversity will roll in on them, like a rogue wave, and society's moral darkness will obscure the light, like a tsunami from hell.
Our children need to learn from our example, as well as our words, that Jesus is the Light of our life and the Rock of our salvation.

SOMETIMES STOLEN, SOMETIMES COUNTERFEITED
SOMETIMES STOLEN, SOMETIMES COUNTERFEITED
Beware Of Pirates
We often hear about unsavory people who advance themselves by selling products that they either stole, or poor quality look-alike products, which they promote as the original high quality, "real deal," which is another form of theft. This is also true for identity thieves, who try to benefit themselves at another person's expense. We all see the problem with this, especially if we are the ones being robbed. If the item is authentic, then it will perform as it should, but the thief is still a thief.
Piracy In The High Heavens
I see the same thing in the moral, social, spiritual realm. The truths of God are hijacked and re-packaged in the name of the pretender. The truths are still true, but they are credited to the wrong author. In journalism this is called "plagiarism."
There are various problems with this. Thieves cannot guarantee, support or properly serve the pirated item. Another problem is that the legitimate creator of the product is robbed of recognition and benefits which are his by right.
Satan robs God (through people and organizations), by taking credit for His truth, His power, His glory. It is possible for us to rob God by giving His glory to another person or organization. We should be honest and accurate when we credit someone. There is no problem with recognizing the good work of other people, but we should not honor a thief.
Remember, in fact, NEVER FORGET, all truth and every good and perfect gift comes from God. When we credit others, especially those who deny the true and living God, with that which came from God, we are robbing Good and serving Satan.
Consider This
This is why it is good to make the phrase, "Praise the Lord" a normal part of your conversation.
For instance, when someone compliments me concerning my preaching or teaching (my grand buddies are the best in the world), I try to respond with, "Praise the Lord" (recognizing that anything good came from Him), and "Thank you" (recognizing the kindness of the person who took the time to encourage me). Giving praise to God should never be a thoughtless habit, or canned response. It should always be heart-felt, but it should not be hidden away in our hearts.
Another way, in which I try to honor God, is by recognizing Him, rather than those who are seeking to steal God's glory. In other words, most, if not all religions, people, organizations, have something good to say. But rather than credit the pretender or the impersonator, or anyone else, I credit God.
I do this to give God the honor and glory and thanks for all His wisdom, kindness, beneficence. When I give Him the honor, it lifts Him up and it can draw people to Him, rather than away from Him. He, and He alone deserves our praise and thanksgiving.
James 1:17
(17) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Psalms 86:12
(12) I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
Matthew 5:16
(16) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
1 Corinthians 6:20
(20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

SINNING RELIGION IS A DECEIVER
SINNING RELIGION IS A DECEIVER AND IT WINS PEOPLE BY MASQUERADING AS BIBLE TRUTH.
Beware, my friends.
TWO REASONS THIS IS HAPPENING SO OFTEN AND SO QUICKLY
* One of the reasons that sinning religion is having an appeal to believers is that there are few men who are willing to stand for the Biblical view of holiness of heart and life, in the face of rampant ridicule. Even ministers who preach in the pulpits of supposedly holiness oriented churches are caving in to the pressures of a licentious society and a westernized churchianity. When the preachers abandon the truth of heart purity and faithful living, then it is not long before the people either follow their lead or they point to those false witnesses as proof that their sinning religion is true.
* Another reason that sinning religion is growing and spreading, even among historically sound groups of believers, is because so many of the ministers have never settled the fact of entire sanctification in their own lives and they have never opened their mind to the radical reality of salvation from all sin.
WE SHOULD NOT BE SURPRISED, because the Bible told us that this would happen.
While I love my friends who deny that Jesus saves from sin, saves from sin in this life, and saves from all sin in this life, I RECOGNIZE THAT THEY ARE DECEIVED and I choose not to be influenced by them.
I wish I could meet with those of you who are being led astray, so that I could show you the clear and settled word of God (as opposed to the teachings of men) concerning the provision of God to purify unto Himself a distinctive people, zealous of good works.
If you have questions about this, please let me know, because the Bible clearly says that without holiness, no man shall see the Lord, and it also says that if we love God we will keep His commandments, and that those who do not keep His commandments are liars, if they claim to be Christians. The devil is definitely going about seeking whom he may devour, and whom he may deceive, as an angel of light.

(8) He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
(9) Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

WE NEED TO MELT, NOT MOLT
WE NEED TO MELT, NOT MOLT
Trying to get a new start on life by simply casting off bad, negative, offensive, selfish, toxic, venomous behavior is like a snake trying to change his nature by shedding his skin (molting). You can count on it, if the snake lives, he will need to molt again.
God's solution goes deeper than the snake's skin, deeper than the leopard's spots. It goes to the very nature of the creature. As humans, we cannot change our nature by changing our outward behavior. Though we can exercise some self control (AND WE SHOULD), we cannot deliver ourselves from sin and sin nature by simply dressing up the outward appearance.
Even if we can fool most people into thinking that we are beautiful and wonderful, or even if we are beautiful and wonderful (ACCORDING TO WARPED HUMAN STANDARDS), we are still WRETCHED AND POOR AND BLIND AND NAKED before God, and our righteousnesses are as filthy, contaminated rags.
Yes, we should cease to do evil and start to do good, but we can only have deliverance from sin and bondage when we surrender ourselves to God, die to self and follow Jesus. Allow God's Holy Spirit to burn away the wickedness of your sinful self and melt your heart of stone. Call on Jesus to have mercy on you and trust Him to transform you into a new creation.

SCRIPTURE BACKGROUND
(I sometimes use LITV, the "Literal Version" in order to make a passage a little more clear).
Jeremiah the prophet told Judah that they could escape the coming judgment of God nor save themselves by outward change. In fact, they were not able to change their inner nature by mere human endeavor.
Jeremiah 13:22-23 (LITV)
(22) And if you say in your heart, Why do these things come upon me? It is because of the greatness of your iniquity. Your skirts are bared; your heels suffer violence.
(23) Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard his spots? Then you also may do good who are accustomed to doing evil.
Jeremiah the prophet told Judah what it was that was bringing the judgment of God.
Jeremiah 17:9
(9) The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
Paul asked who would deliver him from his sinful nature. Contrary to the false teaching of some, Paul did not wither in defeat, under the sinful nature, instead he shouted that victory over the sinful nature is in Christ.
Romans 7:23-25 and 8:1-10
7:23-25
(23) But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
(24) O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
(25) I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
8:1-10
(1) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
(2) For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
(3) For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
(4) That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
(5) For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
(6) For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
(7) Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
(8) So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
(9) But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
(10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Jesus told the self righteous Church of Laodicea that they should not trust their own goodness, but call on the mercy of God and turn from their sin.
Revelation 3:14-19
(14) And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
(15) I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
(16) So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
(17) Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
(18) I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
(19) As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
Isaiah the prophet exposed the futility of self righteousness.
Isaiah 64:6
(6) But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
King David said doing evil would bring God's judgment.
Psalms 37:8-9
(8) Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.
(9) For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.
Isaiah the prophet contrasts self righteousness with Divine redemption.
Isaiah 1:16-20
(16) Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;
(17) Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.
(18) Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
(19) If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
(20) But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
The Psalmist and the Apostle James extol cleansed hands and pure hearts.
Psalms 24:3-5
(3) Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
(4) He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
(5) He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
James 4:8
(8) Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
Ezekiel the prophet revealed that God's salvation is from the inside out.
Ezekiel 36:24-27
(24) For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
(25) Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.
(26) A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
(27) And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.
Paul the Apostle tells us that God makes us into new creatures.
2 Corinthians 5:17
(17) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
