1/5/16 WARNING! SERIOUS WARNING.

WARNING! SERIOUS WARNING. ALWAYS BE CAREFUL OF "NEW AND BETTER," and, more "complete" and more "accurate." Neither should you fall for,"The Lost Books of the Bible" lie.

BEWARE THIS NEW FALSE CLAIM
There is a recent publication, which claims to be, "...the most complete and accurate English translation and transliteration of sacred Scripture in the world today."

The book is called the CEPHER.
I have not read it, but my response is based on the information and claims that are being made for it, by those who are responsible for it.

It cannot be more complete than the Holy Bible, with the 66 canonized books (books that meet the measure of Divine inspiration). God forbids anyone to add to His revelation.

YET, the cepher does have more books and more passages than the Holy Bible, or the Holy Scriptures of Christianity, because it has added non-inspired writings. Although it claims to be more accurate, it cannot be more accurate when it removes the light of the New Testament from the translations of the Old Testament. Transliteration does not necessarily make a translation more accurate. In fact, it can confuse the message.

THIS IS NOT NEW, since the Roman Catholic Bible and the King James 1611 also includes the Apocrypha. While some recognize extra-Biblical writings to have historical and cultural significance, those writings are not the revelation of God and should not be put in the same category as sacred Scripture.

I believe it is important to translate the Holy Bible accurately. I believe that the Holy Bible should be made available to each person in his own language. HOWEVER, we must not allow misdirected human scholarship or religious fervor to mislead us into accepting human writings as though they are Divinely inspired.
