I realize that the sin in the Garden originated in the heart, and that God judges the heart, but for discussion sake, and just dealing with that which is evident to human beings Let me ask a question. (Yes, he was a sinner as soon as he lusted after or decided in his heart, to eat the fruit, but work with me here).
* How many bites did it take before Adam was a sinner?
Likewise,
* How many meals did Esau nrgotiate, when he sold his birthright?
How many murders does it take to make someone a murderer?
(Yes, I know hatred is the foundational sin).
How many stolen items does it take to make someone a thief?
(Yes, I know coveting is the foundational sin).
How many infidelities does it take to make someone an adulterer?
(Yes, I know lust is the foundational sin).
You cannot let the horses of your desires start to run free. As a saved person (as a new creation, as a person who has received Divine nature in your regeneration), you must be under the Holy Spirit's control and you must have self control.
Hold your horses.
James 1:12-15
(12) Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
(13) Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
(14) But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
(15) Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
