10/12/16 THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR WORDS

10/12/16 THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR WORDS
(make no mistake, there are foul mouths and corrupt leaders on both sides of the aisle.)

If you listen to, or read what popular "preachers" are saying today, then foul, vulgar, profane, crude, obscene speech is not a big deal, by calling it "locker room talk," "macho talk," and by saying, "we all sin." This is not new, since lesser lights have been excusing, accepting and using evil speech for some time.

HOWEVER, God does not share their liberal views.

Words are important.

In fact, the word, "Word" is a title for Jesus.

The Bible is God's word.

We live and die by our words.

We will be judged by our words.

Words are the revelation of what is in the heart.

I don't think the vulgar tape of the vulgar man, Donald Trump sets him apart from Hillary or the other sewer mouths in politics (regardless of party). No one is excused for spewing filth. All who use vile and vulgar speech are a cancer in society, a rock of offense to young people, an enemy of holiness and will be judged by God. Words are connected to the heart of man and to the actions of man. God will judge men according to their thoughts, words and deeds.

Our words are windows into our inner man. The fact that anyone would either excuse or lessen the wickedness of vile, vulgar language indicates the separation between that person and God.

Ephesians 4:29
(29) Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

Colossians 3:8
(8) But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

This is the word of God.

Of course, if you don't think words are that important, you probably don't think God's word is important either.
