LOVE COVERS A MULTITUDE OF SINS
If Christians, who are people of "grace, love, mercy, compassion, patience," become defensive, offended, agitated, aggravated, or touchy, concerning sporting events and favorite teams, how much more should we expect the unsaved to be protective and sensitive about their favorite teams.
This indicates that Christians ought not to allow themselves to become a stone of offense or stumbling to other people, concerning things that are of no eternal consequence.
Placing unnecessary barriers between ourselves and others is not part of the Great Commission. Insulting or judging others or accusing others because of disagreements concerning silliness is not Christ like.
If love covers a multitude of sins, shouldn't it also bridge the gap between people of different opinions. Even if you are right in your opinion, it is wrong to build walls of separation because of those opinions.
