NEVER ALONE

NEVER ALONE
God created us to be social creatures. After God created Adam, He created Eve from Adam's flesh, to be his help meet. This is the nucleus of family and social relationships. God then gave them children, to expand the family. Not only has God provided us with immediate family, he has also given us the church as a family.

But no matter how much of a family we have there are times we can feel lonely or alone, whether we are far away from our loved ones or just out of touch with them. This is why a living and real relationship with Jesus is essential. Jesus said he would never leave nor forsake those who love Him. The song says, I will never leave you lonely.

There is a real Jesus. And there is a real relationship with Jesus. God initiated the relationship, but we must respond to His invitation in order to enter that relationship. God originated the relationship because of His great love. Before we loved Him, He loved us. Even when we have failed to love Him, He has loved us.

However, this loving and living relationship cannot survive and grow unless we love Him. Think of it this way; even though one person loves another person the relationship does not continue if the love is not reciprocated.

Great numbers of people today talk about their relationship with God, but their behavior and conversation indicates they do not actually love Christ. We will not speak in a way, or act in a way that dishonours or displeases the one we love.

In our relationship with God there must be a commitment of trusting and willing submission, to Christ as our head. Jesus said if we love him we will keep His commandments. Therefore it is our responsibility to keep ourselves in that love relationship with God.
Jude:1:20-21
20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,
21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
